The foundation
hosts annual memorial ceremonies on the grounds of the State
Capitol Complex in Austin.
During odd numbered years, when the legislature is in
session, the foundation hosts both a candlelight vigil
in the evening and a memorial ceremony on the following day.
These services are held the first week of May.
Every year, the foundation hosts a memorial tribute in
conjunction with the annual
Ride for the
Fallen. This year, the ride will be on Saturday,
May 4, 2013.
2013 Ceremonies
The
2013 Candlelight Vigil was held on the evening of
Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Texas Peace Officers
Memorial.
The
2013 Memorial Ceremony was held on
the morning of Monday, May 6, 2013, on the south side of the
Texas Capitol.
